About
A teacher who has lived the repertoire
Thomas Truhitte is an American heldentenor and the director of Thomas Truhitte Studio of Voice. Students work with a teacher who has sung the roles they study—on major stages—and who brings that same technical clarity to beginners and advancing artists alike.
Career highlights include the title role in Parsifal (Genova Opera); Siegmund in Die Walküre (Manaos Festival, Virginia Opera); the title role in Lohengrin (Festival dei Due Mondi, Spoleto); Bacchus in Ariadne auf Naxos (L’Opéra de Monte Carlo); and Don José in Carmen with Seattle Opera and companies across North America. Concert work includes Melot in Tristan und Isolde with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Esa-Pekka Salonen at Walt Disney Concert Hall and Lincoln Center.
